As much as we may wish we could cast spells like the witches and wizards in movies, casting spells in real life is a little different. We do not wave wands or use cauldrons to cast spells, but there are still ways for you to become a witch or wizard in your own home. Here are five spells you can cast at home:
Honey Jar Love Spell
The honey jar love spell does not attract a new partner, but is made to sweeten any relationship you currently have. This spell works to help understand and build a more satisfying relationship. Banishing Grace Spell
Ward off the negative energy and harmful influences from your home and body with the banishing grace spell. This spell can be used to get rid of a curse, banish a spirit, break a string of bad luck, or to lift your spirits during rough patches in life.
What You’ll Need:
- 1 Red Apple
- 1 Bay Leaf
- A Knife
How to Cast the Spell:
- Place the apple in front of you, while focusing on banishing the negative energy
- Cut the apple in half
- Place the halves facing up on the table
- Lay the bay leaf on top of one of the halves
- Repeat the following phrase three times:
Red and green
Banishing grace
Cast all evil out of this place
- Bring the halves of the apple together and bury them together in fresh soil to finish the spell
Money Spell Jar
Whether you are about to make a large purchase or just need some extra money, by using the money spell jar, you could find yourself with a little more cash in your wallet. This spell is cast best during a waxing half moon, but if you can’t wait that long you can cast the spell on a Thursday.
What You’ll Need:
- 1 airtight jar with a lid
- 8 dimes to represent money. In numerology, the number eight is associated with the movement of money
- A few sprigs of fresh thyme for luck
- Orange peels for prosperity
- A handful of fresh basil for protection
- Cloves to boost the power of your spell
- Oats for prosperity and abundance
- Sprinkles or dextrose star candies to sweeten the deal
- Paper
- 1 pen or marker with green ink
- 1 green candle
- 1 white candle
How to Cast the Spell:
- Write your intention for this spell on a piece of paper with the green ink of your choice, then fold and lay at the bottom of the jar
- Place the 8 dimes (make sure they are clean) on top of the piece of paper in the jar while focusing on your intention
- Tear up the thyme and basil and mix it with the cloves, then add the herbal mixture to the jar. Save enough of the mixture to make three additional layers
- Next, add the oats to the jar
- Add the layer of sprinkles or dextrose star candies. Make sure you have enough to add three additional layers
- After adding the eight layers you can either leave the jar lid open and add loose change to it until the money you desire has come, or you can seal the jar shut and burn the white and green candle over the top to make the spell permanent
- Once you have your desired money, remove the paper and burn it or bury it
Lumos
For all the Harry Potter fans out there, you can become a witch or wizard using your smartphone as your wand. Certain spells from Harry Potter have been integrated into Apple and Android devices. Lumos was used to cast a light in the dark and, with the help of your device, you can turn your flashlight on by casting the Lumos spell.

How to Cast the Spell:
- Activate Siri or Google Assistant on your device and simply say “Lumos.” Your flashlight will promptly turn on.
- Nox is the counter spell to Lumos. When you are finished using your flashlight, utter “Nox” to your device’s digital assistant to turn your flashlight off.
