The only Western restaurant in the Shangri-La Hotel is Piacere, and it is an outstanding Michelin Star experience, from the handmade rabbit ravioli on tarragon pesto to Chef Paolo’s risotto. Piacere faces West, offering views of Tokyo Station, Marunouchi, and the Imperial Garden. Guests also love the slow-roasted halibut on a bed of pumpkin and star anise puree, with mussel pepata and sweet garlic cream on top. Chef Paolo’s Tiramisu and homemade ice creams are a great finish to an outstanding meal. Fresh tea is brewed tableside, where mint and other herbs are snipped fresh to steep in a glass tea pot.
