What a Gas

Here’s a Confidential we’d love to claim as our own: Located in San Diego’s historical Gas Lamp District, this lofty night spot serves arguably the best martini in town. Confidential also claims top SDDJS (San Diego disc jockeys) and a hipster decor with a cool ’60s vibe — but it’s the ever-evolving global tapas menu that really puts this place over the top. Also on tap: A juggling bartender, infused vodkas, a no-attitude staff, and plenty of eye candy, in the form of the clientele and staff. Warning: Poseurs, beware. Confidential is not the kind of place where plastic works — unless you want to use it to pay your tab.
