School on vacation may sound like an oxymoron, but the Arizona Doll & Toy Museum features one class that’s sure to delight those from ages 3 to 103. Antique dolls fill a 1912 schoolroom and make learning adorably fun in the museum’s signature exhibit. The quaint, five-room building — once a Victorian-era home — features toys and dolls up to 250 years old. The oldest was crafted in England out of wax and human hair, and is still wearing her original dress. Ready to revel in some nostalgia of your own? Stroll around historic Heritage Square, the only group of residential structures remaining from 19th-century Phoenix.
