Friday Night Fever

Every Friday the Brooklyn Brewery – a genuine Williamsburg landmark – opens its doors for the best beer bargain in any of the five boroughs. Under the watchful eye of a roving cat named Monster, the high-tech brewing equipment is pushed aside and a bar opens for the happiest of Happy Hours, from 6 to 11 p.m. Standard and seasonal brews are listed on a chalkboard, and tokens are sold at the door (six for $20), to be exchanged for hand-poured beers of your choice. Other than chips and pretzels, there’s no food, so standard practice is to order from a nearby pizzeria that delivers directly to your table.
