Madrid’s iconic Prado Museum is the world’s largest art gallery, housing more than 8,000 paintings (although only a quarter of its celebrated masterpieces can be displayed at any one time). In fact, it is said that most art museums have less art in their halls than the Prado has in storage. So, go each time you visit Madrid. Note: We love Hieronymus Bosch’s The Garden of Earthly Delights.
