Saturday, Feb. 22 is National Margarita Day, and in the darkness of what has become one of the longest and coldest winters in recent memory, we could all use a sweet and salty lift.

Head to Hecho en Dumbo (354 Bowery, 212-937-4245) for the Hecho en Dumbo signature margarita with 100% Agave Tequilla Herradura Blanco, freshly squeezed lime juice, Cointreau, and a dash of cane sugar, served on the rocks with a salted rim. $13.

Stanton Social (99 Stanton Street, 212-995-0099) gives the margarita a clever twist with the Blood Orange-Jalapeno Margarita. The ingredients include Jalapeno-infused Milagro Reposado, blood orange juice, fresh lime, and Cointreau. $13 and a little kick that you won’t soon forget.

If you’d rather celebrate at home, try these great margarita recipes courtesy of Cointreau:
