Getting Lucky

Must Try

Although the streets in the Fort Point section of the city may seem empty, locals slide into the red banquettes inside the clamorous basement restaurant Lucky’s Lounge for live music (on most nights). Loud and lived-in, Lucky’s is a neighborhood staple for those in the know. Executive Chef Nicholson Dixon shakes up the comfort-food menu with Kobe beef sliders topped with quail eggs to make them rich and buttery, along with fish tacos with jicama slaw and lime creme. Sweet tooths are satisfied with the peanut butter cup sundae, made with a homemade chunky sauce served warm. Barflies may knock back martinis and sangrias at the Sinatra Brunch, featuring Ol’ Blue Eyes’ tunes all day, on Saturdays and Sundays.
